Hindi Handwritten Word Recognition System

An end-to-end OCR system for handwritten Hindi word recognition using a CRNN-CTC architecture. The project combines convolutional feature extraction with bidirectional LSTM sequence modeling to recognize handwritten Hindi text without character-level segmentation. Built with PyTorch, the pipeline includes dataset preprocessing, character tokenization, dynamic-width batching, greedy decoding, and evaluation workflows for robust sequence prediction on the IIIT Hindi handwriting dataset.

My work lives at the intersection of research and real-world impact — from medical prediction models to optimization systems designed for clarity and performance.

I believe engineering should be intentional. Every model must solve a defined problem. Every experiment should have purpose. I care about measurable results, clean systems, and thoughtful design.

Outside of training models or refining algorithms, you’ll find me sketching ideas, organizing cultural events, or exploring how structure and creativity can coexist. To me, data and design aren’t opposites — they’re collaborators.
